Canon Europe Deploys Descartes Visibility & Event Management for European Operations

Descartes Service Enables Global Manufacturer to Validate Business Value before Committing to Pan-European Deployment

WATERLOO, ONTARIO, March 1, 2006 — The Descartes Systems Group Inc., (Nasdaq:DSGX), (TSX:DSG), a leading provider of on-demand, software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery management solutions for transportation, logistics, manufacturing, retail, distribution and service provider enterprises, today announced that Canon Europe NV, based in The Netherlands, ("Canon Europe"), has completed its pilot and signed a longer-term subscription to deploy Descartes' Visibility & Event Management™ solution for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.

Canon Europe is using Descartes Visibility & Event Management, an on-demand, web-based solution that works across enterprises, geographies and transportation modes, to track and trace shipments to its customers in the EMEA region. Descartes provides a framework that lets Canon Europe monitor, measure, query and report on order and delivery information at the line-item level. Descartes' Visibility & Event Management solution leverages the Descartes Global Logistics Network™, one of the world's largest multimodal networks of transportation and logistics services providers and their customers.
