Position Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to fill the role of Accounting Activations. This position will work closely with our internal Professional Services and Support teams to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction. While technical expertise is appreciated, this role does not require highly technical accounting or software expertise. Emphasis is instead placed on the ability to handle our customers and their bookkeeping/accounting issues professionally and with an understanding that the customer probably has little to no accounting expertise or experience.
Responsibilities
Implement and support integration of the Aljex Transportation Management System (TMS) with third-party accounting applications including QuickBooks, Dynamics GP (aka Great Plains), Sage and other integrations that may be developed in the future.
Implement and support the proprietary Aljex Accounting application.
Implement and test existing integration processes that export accounting transactions performed in the TMS (e.g., sales invoice postings, cash receipts, vendor payable posting, cash disbursements,) for import by an Aljex customer into its accounting system.
Implement and test existing integration process that utilize application program interface (API) protocols that directly interface the TMS with the accounting application.
Assist Aljex customers with troubleshooting and resolving accounting discrepancies between the two systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
Hands on experience with computer-based accounting applications such as QuickBooks, Sage, Great Plains Accounting or equivalent packages is a plus.
Service oriented and solution driven.
Outstanding communications skills.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
