Descartes OneRecord™

Helping air carriers, freight forwarders, and ground handlers and governments adopt IATA's OneRecord standard while preserving workflows and ensuring regulatory connectivity

What Is IATA's OneRecord?

IATA's OneRecord is a modernization of air messaging and a fundamental shift of how data is shared across the air cargo supply chain. The new standard moves away from legacy document-based formats such as CargoIMP and CargoXML to a more standardized data-centric model.

Current Challenges

CargoIMP and CargoXML are widely used today and moving to OneRecord will change many back-office processes and integrations

Carriers, forwarders, ground handlers and governments are not all aligned with some regulatory agencies still expect traditional messages

OneRecord relies on directed API connections between instances and strict permission standards

Workflows that trigger on documents must be rethought for event-driven, data-update models
