EU and FAO supported import of a consignment of buckwheat seeds donated by Canada
With the support of European Union and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Union "Millers of Ukraine" have successfully completed the delivery of buckwheat seeds from Canada to Ukraine. The project, realized under the auspices of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, aims to overcome the shortage of buckwheat in the current year.

Ukraine: Commission waives customs duties and VAT on the import of life-saving goods for Ukrainians
The European Commission has today adopted a Decision enabling
Member States to temporarily waive customs duties and VAT on the importation
from third countries of food, blankets, tents, electric generators and other
life-saving equipment destined for Ukrainians affected by the war. This
measure, which was requested by Member States, will apply retroactively from 24
February 2022 and will be in place until 31 December 2022.

Supporting Ukrainian exports and improving connections to the EU: EU strengthens cooperation with Ukraine and Moldova
Road transport agreements to secure supply chains were signed by Commissioner for Transport Adina Vălean, French Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Communities Christophe Béchu on behalf of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, Ukrainian Minister for Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, and Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu. The agreements will help ensure food security, following Russia's unprovoked and unjustified aggression against Ukraine and its blockage of traditional transport routes. Minister Kubrakov and Commissioner Vălean also signed an understanding on updating Ukraine’s indicative TEN-T network to improve infrastructure connections between Ukraine and EU. The signatures took place during the Connecting Europe Days in Lyon, France.
