Descartes MacroPoint™ OpsForce AI agents complement carrier performance by helping to maintain tracking continuity and automate freight visibility exceptions

ATLANTA, Georgia, August 25, 2026 -- Descartes Systems Group, the global leader in uniting logistics-intensive businesses in commerce, announced its 2026 Descartes MacroPoint Top Carriers. This year, the award recognizes 1,450 carriers for consistently delivering high-quality freight tracking data across a substantial volume of shipments, with the top 40 carriers averaging well over 47,000 shipments each during the qualifying time period.

To qualify for the 2026 award, carriers were required to successfully track more than 1,000 loads through Descartes MacroPoint during the first six months of the year while achieving tracking compliance of at least 90%. Tracking compliance represents the percentage of tracking requests sent to a carrier that resulted in a successfully tracked shipment. The recognition comes as Descartes expands AI-powered freight visibility through Descartes MacroPoint OpsForce, a suite of AI agents that works alongside its carrier network to maintain tracking continuity, automate exception workflows and improve the completeness, timeliness and reliability of shipment data.

“We’re pleased to be recognized once again as a top carrier in the Descartes network,” said Neil Thomas, Vice President of Carrier Sales at Arrive Logistics. “Simplicity drives everything we do, and our goal is always to make working with Arrive as easy as possible for our transportation partners. Driving connectivity and integrating with our platform ARRIVEnow™ has helped us earn more than 50 service awards from leading shippers over the last three years.”

Descartes MacroPoint is a multimodal supply chain visibility platform that helps shippers, freight brokers and third-party logistics providers gain greater control over their transportation operations and in-transit shipments. Through the industry’s broadest carrier network and flexible connectivity options—including integrations with transportation management systems, telematics and mobile applications—the platform helps carriers securely share real-time shipment status information from departure through delivery.

Built on the scale and real-time data of the Descartes Global Logistics Network™ (Descartes GLN™), OpsForce automatically monitors shipments and acts when required. Its AI agents will confirm events like arrival or departure milestones, and request proof-of-delivery when documentation is missing. By addressing these exceptions without routine manual follow-up, OpsForce helps improve tracking coverage and compliance while allowing logistics teams to focus on higher-value work.

“This year’s recipients consistently deliver the high-quality visibility data customers need across a significant volume of shipments,” said Josh Walker, Director of Carrier Operations at Descartes. “OpsForce builds on that foundation by automatically recovering tracking, confirming key milestones and collecting missing documentation, helping customers receive more complete and actionable shipment data with less manual intervention.”

The annual Descartes MacroPoint Top Carriers award was created to recognize carriers that demonstrate sustained tracking performance, dependable connectivity, and a strong commitment to shipment visibility. The complete list of 2026 Descartes MacroPoint Top Carriers can be found here.
