Email Subscriptions and Marketing
You can customize your preferences for receiving electronic communications from The Descartes Systems Group Inc. and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("Descartes"), including opting in or out of mailing lists, newsletters, and news feeds, by updating your communication preferences at https://www.descartes.com/emailpreferences.
You can also opt out of electronic messages by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of every such electronic message sent by us.
If you have opted into receiving text messages from us, you can opt out of further text messages by responding “STOP” to any text message received from us.

Privacy Rights Requests
The personal information of individuals (“data subjects”) in the European Union or in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, personal information of data subjects residing in California and other US states may be protected by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other state consumer privacy laws. These laws, where applicable, provide for the following rights:
- To be told whether any personal information belonging to the data subject is being processed by Descartes, and if such data is being processed a) the purpose of the processing; b) what type of information is being processed; c), who, if anyone, is that information being disclosed to; d) how long the information is expected to be processed for; e) the source of the personal information if it was not from the data subject themselves; f) when applicable, where the data is being transferred to a country outside of the European Economic Area or UK, the country the data is being transferred to and the means by which the data is being protected; and g) whether the information is being processed by any automated decision making system.
- To be allowed to request a copy of their personal information in machine readable form, the first copy which will be provided free of charge and any subsequent copy provided at a reasonable cost as set by Descartes.
- To be allowed to rectify or correct any inaccuracies in the personal information.
- To be able to restrict the further processing of the personal information, either for a specific purpose or in general and either temporarily or permanently.
- To have their personal information erased from Descartes’ records unless other valid legal reasons exist to justify continued processing of that personal information.
- To appeal any decision or inaction with respect to these rights by Descartes by contacting our Data Protection Officer and, if not resolved, to lodge a complaint to their supervisory authority if they believe their personal information is being mishandled.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Descartes does not sell your personal information to third parties. Descartes also does not share your personal information for cross-context advertising. You are still entitled to request that we not sell or share your personal information. You can do so by contacting our Data Protection Officer.
What are cookies and how are they used?
Cookies are unique identifiers or tokens of agreement from a web server that are saved in a small text file on your computer when you access a Descartes web site through a browser. We can use this information to track visits to web pages (which ones, how many times) or to personalize web page content.
Most major web sites use cookies and most browsers are set up to accept them. If you wish, you can reset your browser to refuse to accept cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being sent-see "Help" in your browser. You do not need cookies to visit our web sites. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some of the features on the web sites.

Descartes has a global data privacy officer. If you believe your data has been used in a manner which is not consistent with this Privacy Policy or in contravention of local data privacy laws, or if you have any questions, comments, requests, or suggestions related to data privacy, please contact our global data privacy officer. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights conferred by applicable law and as described here.
