Russia: EU renews economic sanctions over Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine for further six months

The Council today decided to prolong by six months, until 31 January 2023, the restrictive measures targeting specific sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation.

Russia: Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the expansion of the list of so-called "unfriendly States"

The European Union deplores the decision of the Russian government on 20 July 2022 to add five EU member states – Greece, Denmark, Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia – to the list of countries for which measures in “Response to Unfriendly Actions of Foreign States” are applicable. The EU considers allegations regarding unfriendly actions as unfounded and unacceptable, urging Russia to revoke all such listings.

Russia's aggression against Ukraine: the EU targets additional 54 individuals and 10 entities

The Council decided to impose restrictive measures on an additional 54 individuals and 10 entities in response to the ongoing unjustified and unprovoked Russian military aggression against Ukraine. This decision comes in addition to the “maintenance and alignment” package of sanctions adopted by the Council on 21 July 2022.
